With a background in brand identity and visual communication, Sinéad currently has a short documentary series in development, 'The Alchemy Project' (co-winner of the prestigious Kenneth B. Myer Award). The project was one of 26 digitally-led documentaries – selected out of 540 international submissions – featured at Sheffield Doc/Fest Crossover Market in June 2015. Pilot Alchemy short film, 'Ballsy', was recently selected for the Academy -Accredited 'Best of Documentary' competition at Flickerfest Film Festival, followed by St Kilda Film Festival and Sheffield Doc/Fest.
Sinéad's work as an art director/designer is diverse; encompassing both creative direction and execution in projects such as design strategy, branded short film, web design, print and environmental design.
Sinéad is also the curator of TEDxSydney's 'Fast Ideas' program.
Creative awards have come her way for work with clients such as the Sydney Film Festival, Australian Himalayan Foundation and RTÉ. She has exhibited at the ACP and Chaumont International Graphic Arts Festival, France. In August 2010, along with 15 other creatives selected from around the world, Sinéad completed the program ‘Impact - Design for Social Change’, at the School of Visual Arts, New York. In recent years, she has worked as a casual academic at UTS and Billy Blue College of Design, Sydney.
Areas of creative focus that make Sinéad's heart beat a little faster include developmental psychology, philosophy, photojournalism, LGBTQI identity and interculturalism.
